Youth Boundary Waters

Canoe Trip

 

Back Safely!

A group of 21 youth and adults from St. Stephen’s spent 5 days in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area last week. Three groups went out from Tuscarora Outfitters north of Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail. It was a great week that tested our endurance as we fought the elements—wind, rain and storms. Oh...and mosquitoes, too! We look forward to the next opportunity to    paddle in the wilderness. Stay tuned for ways to see our experience through pictures and story.

Lutherdale 2010: Keeping the Earth

We are connecting to Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn in many ways!

 

JUNIOR HIGH PROGRAMS

Grades 6-8

 

Confirmation

June 13-18, July 11-16;  $395

Growing in Faith…A person’s faith flourishes when given the opportunity to live and learn in an intentional  Christian community. That is precisely what we do at Lutherdale. Confirmation camp bible studies make connections with what we learn at camp to Luther’s small catechism. Bring your church youth group out for a week of faith and fun.

 

Junior High

June 13-18, July 11-16, July 18-23, July 25-30, Aug 1-6, Aug 8-13; $395

Get ready to have the best week of camp ever! Junior High programs, for you who have completed 6th thru 8th grades, are filled with activities that will have you praising God and having fun. These camps include campfire worships, games, the high and low ropes course, camp-outs, fun in the lake, the challenge of the climbing tower, and so much more.

 

Living Waters Confirmation

June 20-25, June 27-July 2; $395

Living Waters is a confirmation camp with a strong pastoral influence. Pastors help lead worships, bible studies, and devotions. Special programs include a “hunger meal” and Holy Communion given during the week. This is a wonderful opportunity for your church youth group to come out together and grow during this week-long faith development adventure.

Sr. High (Completed 9-11)

 

F.L.O.O.D. (Friends Living Out Our Discipleship)

July 18-23; $395

A Servant Event in Milwaukee... “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom of all.” Mark 10:25 Come with your church group and experience a life-changing servant event in Milwaukee. We’ll stay at the Tommy Thompson Youth Hostel and commute to work-sites everyday. In the past we’ve prepared meals at shelters, sorted food in the food

pantry, played with community kids, and helped out with small construction projects.

 

L.Y.L.E. (Lutherdale Youth Leadership Experience)

August 1 - 6; $395

Our newest High School program will cover what it means to be a leader in the church, your community, and at camp. L.Y.L.E.’s will learn leadership skills, spend time building community, digging into bible study, and talk about “call” and “vocation”. It is recommended but not required that L.Y.L.E.’s attend the Senior High Challengers before coming to this camp, but you can do both in the same summer. Join us for this new program and discover what God has planned in your life.

 

Challengers

July 25-30; $395

Our Senior High program has a new look this year. The first part will be very familiar to those who have been here before. Senior High Challenge gives you a chance to take ownership in your camp experience through prayer,

worship, and service teams. Later nights, (and later mornings!), combined with a whole array of camp activities, this is a chance to really enter a daily walk with God while making deep friendship in a Christ-centered

environment.

Providing Resources In Student Ministry… The South Central and Greater Milwaukee synods of Wisconsin, in

partnership with Lutherdale, have collaborated to bring you a special program ready to revitalize the way High School students lead in their church communities. This workshop-based program will guide you through means of small group sessions, exploration of ministry callings,

spiritual gift identification, development of a ministry action plan, and much, much more. More Camp Information
