Volunteer! There are so many ways to serve at St. Stephen’s. Here are just a few ways you can be involved!
Haiti Haiti Health Kits Please help Lutheran World Relief in its efforts to help the people of Haiti by contributing health kits. There is a box in the narthex labeled, “Health Kits for Haiti.” We will be collecting kits or items for the kits through Ash Wednesday.
Ride to 8:00 Worship From Monona Hills Two to three members live next door at Monona Hills but have no ride to worship. Would you be willing to pick them up for the 8:00 service?
The Road Home Helping the Homeless Members of St. Stephen’s participate as a buddy congregation with Lake Edge UCC in the Road Home Homeless Shelter. Around four times a year, we are asked to help at the church by providing a supper, interaction with children and adults, supervision and serving breakfast.
Share Your Assets! Coffee Hosts Needed Brewing a few pots of coffee and putting out some cookies makes an enormous difference for the fellowship of St. Stephen’s. Can you help share this important responsibility? We’re looking to increase our list of 8:00 and 10:00 Fellowship Hosts! Call Jane in the church office.
Mid-Wife Kit Project Ready to Pack our Midwife Kits! In order to complete our goal of 80 Midwife Kits, we could use your help in providing more towels (bath size, thinner type preferred) and baby shirts/Onesies (size newborn or small). These items may be new or used in good condition without stains. Or, cash donations will be used to purchase the items we are missing. Checks should be made to St. Stephen’s; please use designated envelopes near the display.
Music Opportunities Come Join Us! One of the many ways of giving to the church is to share your time and talents. Please consider being a part of music ministry at St. Stephen’s by joining a choir, cantoring or playing an instrument. Speak to either Dennis Douglas (douglas.ststephens@tds.net) or Rebecca Redmann.
Communion Bread If you would like to bake bread for communion, please call the church office at 222-1241. Guys are invited to bake Communion bread also! |

Church Nursery Nursery Attendants Would you be willing to cover a shift occasionally caring for young children? Contact the church office at 222-1241.
Join an Emerging Worship Team! There are may ways you can help with our new third communion service, from hospitality to set up, from worship leadership to decorating. See the sign-up posters or contact Chris Gantz to be part of something new! · Hospitality: set up beverages & treats · Communion Assistant: setup bread & wine, assist in serving communion · Greeter/Usher: greet people, offer assistance, collect offering · Lector: read scripture To join one of these teams, or for more information, email Chris Gantz at CGantz@New-Expressions.net or call 222-1241.
Ushers There are spots available for ushers on two usher teams; one who usually serves at 8:00 and one at 10:00, each about once a month. (Training will be provided.) Call the church office at 222-1241.
