St. Stephen’s Foundation News Scholarships Awarded
Trustees of St. Stephen’s Foundation announce the awarding of 11 college scholarships totaling $4,800 for the 2008-2009 academic year to the following students:
From the General and Wiskowski Scholarship Funds: Tristan Campbell, Russian Studies, Luther College Bryan Cerro, Liberal Arts, MATC Kyle Gasser, Political Science/History, UW-Madison Laura Hermanns, International Studies, UW-Madison Alexandra Offerdahl, Business, UW-Milwaukee Art Paul Schlosser, Liberal Arts/Journalism, MATC Kelsey Schroeder-Gasser, Psychology/Spanish, Gustavus Adolphus
From the Irene B. Thomas Fund: Shauna Robinson, Human Services/Social Work, Upper Iowa University Andrea Slinde, Exercise Science, Marquette University Emily Stein, Biology/Chemistry, Carthage
From the Landsness Memorial Fund: Barb Kepler, Diaconal Ministry or Master of Divinity, Wartburg Seminary
Awards will be distributed at the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, June 1, 2008.
The St. Stephen’s Foundation is grateful for contributions it receives to enable it to continue to provide awards to eligible students. We encourage contributions to any of the above-mentioned funds (or the establishment of a new fund) to assure continued distribution of scholarship awards.
The students who receive these awards are excellent scholars and the financial help provided by these scholarships takes some of the burden off of them to allow for more concentrated study.
