Prayer Vigil for Peace & Justice 20th Day of Every Month On the 20th day of the month, no matter which day of the week, every month of the year, we gather for a prayer vigil for peace and justice in the Middle East. The format is simple: the lighting of candles, song, readings and prayer. The vigil meets in Koinonia Place from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. This year several special events are planned in conjunction with the vigils featuring films, guests and meals. |

Soup for Schools Lutheran schools in Palestine provide amazing ministries of education, health and sanctuary from the chaos of violence for children in kindergarten through grade twelve. Through our “Soup for Schools” groups, St. Stephen’s people come together monthly for a delightful meal, and socializing. With their $5 per month contribution, they are presently providing tuition for children in the West Bank. Talk to a pastor if you’d like to be part of a group. |

Augusta Victoria Hospital Our generous financial support for the “poor fund” of Augusta Victoria Hospital makes health care possible for Palestinian refugees and villagers who have no other health care options. |

The Road Home Helping the Homeless Members of St. Stephen’s participates as a buddy congregation with Lake Edge UCC in the Road Home Homeless Shelter. Around four times a year, we are asked to help at the church by providing a supper, interaction with children and adults, supervision and serving breakfast.

St. Stephen’s has helped the Chauhans settle in an apartment and provided necessities including furniture, cookware, clothing and other basic needs.
Donations There is a fund for the Chauhan family, to be used to purchase items not donated. If you would like to contribute, please make checks to St. Stephen’s with refugee family in memo.
Rides The Chauhans are eager to be with us in worship but need rides. It takes two vehicles to carry ten people. If you can help with an occasional trip, talk to a pastor. |
