Sunday School 9:10 a.m. We offer Sunday School for children age 3 to grade 5. The Sunday gatherings begin at 9:10 a.m. with a mini-worship service for children, including some fun songs and prayer, as well as the chance for offerings to share. On typical weeks, students then break into classrooms of age groupings. Our brand new curriculum helps the students explore some of the best Bible stories in creative ways. On other weeks, students play along in a Game Show or gather in our own Movie Theater for VeggieTales and other videos--plus tasty popcorn! These activities mean there is some sort of Sunday School activity for children every Sunday of the school year! Classes finish just before the 10:00 worship service.
A Cow in Sunday School The Sunday School students are working toward a cow—not as a pet, but as a gift! Through the ELCA Global Barnyard, if they can raise $500, the cow will help a whole village to sustain itself! |

Kids & Summer Tuesday Summer Fun! Every Tuesday evening during summer break, St. Stephen’s will be hosting fun activities for kids (of all ages!) including kickball games, bonfires, and more.
Happy Cows Come From St. Stephen’s! Thanks for the moo-la! With lots of great work by Sunday School students and tremendous support from the congregation, $550 was raised at the plant sale. That is more than enough to provide a cow through ELCA’s God’s Global Barnyard program to a village in need. Another village may even get some chickens. Thanks for all those bucks!
Children in Worship All ages are an important part of our worship life, even young noisy children! (We count it as praise to God!) We strongly encourage families to worship together as frequently as possible--nothing else you do together will more strongly form your child's faith!
If parents would like time to focus on worship we offer several good options: · Nursery care is typically available on Sundays for children up to age 3. · During the 10:00 service, a special children's activity is available outside worship during the sermon. · At the 11:00 service a children's area in the back of the worship space offers coloring books and other activities.
Children and Prayer Early in life is a great time to keep baptismal promises of nurturing faith in your home! One of the simplest things to start with is a meal prayer together. Here's one popular suggestion: Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest and let these gives to us be blessed. Amen!
