Support for Projects & Programs
St. Stephen's Foundation was
organized in 1982 to help members of the church and others
provide support for long-term projects and programs.
Past projects have
included:
annual scholarships for post-secondary education
design and construction of our pipe organ
sponsorship of youth mission trip participants
seminary scholarships
Giving a gift to St.
Stephen's Foundation is simple.
Anyone may contribute by donating:
stocks
bonds
cash
other assets, including securities or real estate
When you give a gift, you
may:
contribute to any existing funds
create a new fund (with approval of the Board of Trustees)
support an Endowment Fund, which spends only earnings from
the principal
designate a purpose to support with principal and earnings
make an undesignated gift, to be used as needs or new
projects arise
The St. Stephen's Foundation Board of Trustees takes great
care to create a balanced Investment Policy that sets broad
objectives, allocation benchmarks, and investment strategies
that keep with the fiduciary duties of the Board. Trustees
are elected from the membership of St. Stephen's Lutheran
Church and meet quarterly.

2011 Scholarship Awards
Foundation Awards Nine
Scholarships
Trustees of St. Stephen's Foundation awarded nine college
scholarships in June, 2011 totaling $3,400 for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The
St. Stephen's Foundation is grateful for contributions it receives to enable
it to continue to provide awards to eligible students. Funding comes from
four scholarship sources the Foundation administers - the Irene B. Thomas, Landsness and Wiskowski funds and a General Scholarship Fund. We encourage
contributions to any of the above-mentioned funds (or the establishment of a
new fund) to assure continued distribution of scholarship awards. Students
who receive these awards are excellent scholars and the financial help
provided by these scholarships takes some of the burden off of them to allow
for more concentrated study.
