Come Splash in the Spirit!
Vacation Bible School 2016
It’s time to invite, to register, and to sign up to
help us provide a fun learning opportunity for children this
summer at St. Stephen’s. Before swim lessons, before ball
games, we hope you’ll bring your children, your neighbor’s
children, your grandchildren and yourself for a morning in
the comfortable air-conditioned spaces around this building
from 9:00 am-Noon. We’re going to use a rotation model with
fun mini-workshops including: art, music, outdoor games,
science experiments, snacks, and more! Sign-Up online at
www.signupgenius.com/tabs/1357EDD0FA5C53-ststephens or put
your name on the bulletin board outside the Sanctuary. Talk
with Mary Tygum or Jessica Sullivan about how they are
helping and how you might join them!
Calling all Singers!
We have identified three opportunities for you to
join together as a choir to enhance, beautify and lead our
worship during these summer months: June 26, July 24, and
August 28. In each case, we will meet for a brief rehearsal
at 8:00 am, and sing at the 9:00 service. Please consider
joining us, especially if you are typically unable to commit
to the weekly choir rehearsal schedule! Singers of all ages
are welcome, and families are encouraged to attend together.
No choir robes, no auditions, no lengthy commitments. Please
speak to Rebecca (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any
questions, or sign-up on our Facebook page.

Plans for Repacking
Sunday, July 18, 1-4:30 pm
It's time to talk. The feelings of grief, confusion, anger,
or compassion surrounding the car crash of our former
pastor, Bruce Burnside have not been shared in many open
forums at St. Stephen's. Maybe there are things for us to
learn from this, even as we continue our prayers for the
healing of the Mengelt family and friends and the welfare of
Bruce as he serves his prison sentence. Bishop Mary Froiland
will join us for the day, and conversations will be focused
on a variety of topics. More information will be in the
July newsletter, including a schedule. Come for all, come
for part. If you cannot be here that day, we can still talk!
Monona Munchies—So Kids
Monday, June 20th – Friday, July 15th 11am-12:45pm.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve food to kids
and families this summer! St. Stephen’s doesn’t have a
particular “day” to staff this year. Instead, we are asking
you to look at your calendar and decide which day(s) work
best for you to help provide sack lunches to hungry kids.
