Calling Pastor Elisa
Pastor Elisa Brandt has been called to serve as senior
pastor here at St. Stephen’s. Congregational members
gathered January 7th to meet Pastor Elisa and her family,
learn more about her from the Call Committee, and consider
if she should be called. The ‘yes’ vote was unanimous and
Pastor Elisa will start at St.
Stephen’s on February 21st. Her first Sunday preaching will
be February 26th. Bishop Froiland is tentatively scheduled
to formally install Pastor Elisa on Sunday, March 26th.

Annual Meeting January 29th,
This meeting will follow our pattern of being held in the
Sanctuary @ 10:15.

Exploring the topic of race as it impacts well-being and
racial disparities in Dane County—learning about what we
don’t know—will be the adult education hour focus for

Rehearsals Have Resumed
Wednesday rehearsals for GosBells and the Sanctuary Choir
have resumed. Both groups meet in the Sanctuary,
with the bells from 6:00-6:55 and the choir from 7:00-8:30.
There is no experience required to join either group, though
a bit of music-reading makes playing the handbells somewhat

The world-renowned St. Olaf Choir, conducted by Dr. Anton

Building on Faith
Kick-Off “Love Thy Neighborhood”

Join Habitat for Humanity of Dane County and area faith
leaders for a night of worship, fellowship, and inspiration.
The annual Building On Faith Kick-Off will feature worship
band Adoration House, an amazing update from Habitat
homeowners Andrew and Chereeka, and an inspiring message
from Crescendo Espresso Bar & Music Cafe owner Cait. Hear
how her coffee shop operates much like a Habitat work site.
She too is grounded in faith and opens her door to all and
serves God by serving the neighborhood. The event is free to

Rebuilding at Bethel
A Three-Part Program for anyone ending a committed
relationship will be offered at Bethel Lutheran Church.
Genesis group meets weekly and is free. Rebuilding group
meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30 for ten weeks and is
taught by Margaret Lambert, LCSW. Movin’ On is intended for
graduates of the Rebuilding class. This support and social
networking group allows members to continue to connect and
