Summer Mission Journey: July 20—23
Certainly life is not fair, but have you ever asked yourself: “Why?”
High School Youth, Young Adults, and all who are young at heart (but old enough to help)
St. Stephen’s and Lake Edge Lutheran Churches will be partnering with Urban Immersion of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches. This service retreat will help us ask the question and discover our personal role in the answer. Our Mission will combine the study of why people are poor with hands-on help to those in need. Our travel together will build community and open our eyes to see the beauty and possibility of the world God has made, propelling us to move beyond a
one-time volunteer experience.
When: Wednesday (depart 8 am) – Saturday (return4 pm) Cost: $300 per participant covers lodging, meals, travel
Where: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Why: to serve God and neighbor!
The Youth Activity Fund will help make it possible for every High School student to join in the journey! Contact the office for details: Let us know you’re interested, register by mid-May to reserve a spot!

Wednesday Bible Study

May 14th Outdoor Clean-Up
Welcome one and all on Saturday, May 14, from 9-11 a.m. – let’s make a community effort to care for the gift of the land which has been entrusted to us here at St. Stephen’s.  This is a wonderful way to give of ourselves in this stewardship season (and have a little fun too)!  The Building and Grounds Committee will have projects ready for a wide variety of skills and ages (and children can inspect the playground as well).  Treats are planned, and the weather will be awesome of course.

Seasoned/Unseasoned Saints & Sinners
Spring Fling: Saturday, May 21
Join us as we visit Dubuque, Iowa. Leaving at 8 am, we’ll ride a motor coach through beautiful SW Wisconsin; visit & tour Wartburg Seminary, enjoy lunch in the Refectory, and photo ops with Martin Luther. After lunch we’ll see St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and its Tiffany Glass Windows. Then tour the awesome National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Home by 6 pm. All this for just $50 per person! Sign up today!

Mallards Game: June 18
Mark your calendars now to join us for St. Stephen’s Day at the Duck Pond! Saturday, June 18th, we’ll meet at 5:00pm to tailgate. All-you-can-eat hotdogs, hamburgers, sides, and soda. ($5 more gets you all the beer you can drink.) The game starts at 6:35pm. Cost is $20/ticket, which includes the tailgating and the game. Children 5 and under are free for the tailgate and the game, if they sit on a parent’s lap during the game. Join us for fellowship, a lot of goofy fun, and hopefully some great baseball! Sign-up on the bulletin board. Got Questions? Ask Ed Nowicki at
