Concerts on the Square: July 23
What better way to spend a lovely summer evening than
listening to beautiful music with the fellowship of friends?
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, July 23 to join us for St.
Stephen’s trip to Concerts on the Square. The program will
feature favorite selections by Gershwin, Copland and Dvorak.
We’ll reserve an area of pavement on the Square for St.
Stephen’s folks to gather. You just need to bring your lawn
chair. You can bring your own food and beverages or you can
purchase them from any of the many concert vendors. We’ll
also help coordinate transportation for those who need it.
The Worship and Music Ministry Team is coordinating this
musical fellowship experience. The actual concert starts at
7:00pm but we will be gathering beforehand for a picnic
(time is TBD). Listen for announcements during services.
There will be a sign-up sheet a couple of weeks before the
event so we can make sure we have rides arranged and enough
space reserved. In case of rain, the St. Stephen’s night at
Concerts on the Square will move to Wednesday, July 30th. We
look forward to spending a wonderful evening with you on
Golf Outing: July 20
Sunday, July 20th is our next golf outing. We will golf at Monona golf
course at 3 pm with a scramble format. If you are interested, you can sign
up on the sheet in the narthex and we will secure the appropriate tee times.
Men: July 25-27
The men's weekend is Friday
7/25 -Sunday 7/27 at Jeff Kunz’s cabin on Diamond Lake.
We’ll leave after work on Friday and stop along the way for
fish in Stevens Point. We have beds for 8 to 17 guys.
Saturday night we can have a burger/brat fry at our place,
and the last time the guys were great cooking up eggs,
coffee, cereal and pastries. There are 3 canoes, a kayak,
small sunfish sail boat, and a 14' aluminum fishing boat.
The lake is sand bottom and good for water activities, and
we have several bikes and many trails from our land, plus a
tennis court, basketball, and other outside/inside games
including pool, ping pong, darts, etc. Sunday morning, we’ll
go to church together, then head home. Talk to a pastor to

children may find themselves hungry. St. Stephen’s, IHM,

hungry kids in our community over the summer. “Monona
Munchies” will provide a brown bag lunch to hungry kids at
Schaefer Park (north of the Monona Pool), Monday-Friday,
from noon to 1:00 p.m. beginning June 16th and running
through August 29th. Volunteers are needed to grocery shop,
prepare the lunches, and serve the lunches. Please talk to
Paige if you can help!!
